SKY Soccer + The Core of Scottsville Partnership

SKY Soccer Club and The Core of Scottsville announce partnership agreement expanding SKY Soccer Club soccer programs to the Allen County-Scottsville community! With the support of The Core of Scottsville and the Allen County Primary Center, Spring 2025 will kick off with “SKY Allen County-Scottsville” Pre Academy (U4-U6) and Recreational (U8-U14) programs. The leaders at The Core of Scottsville have made significant effort in seeking out the best path forward for the youth in their community through soccer, resulting in this partnership with SKY Soccer Club.

SKY Soccer Club will provide enhancements to the existing Core of Scottsville soccer programs including age and developmentally appropriate curriculums, volunteer coach education, referee training, as well as registration and communication platforms. The current Core of Scottsville leadership will be actively involved in all aspects of the programs that we plan to grow from the well-established 150+ players per year.

“This thrilling partnership with The Core of Scottsville perfectly aligns with SKY’s core values of developing great players and people, enhancing our community, and growing the beautiful game.” Notes SKY Soccer Club Board President, Chase Embry. “Supporting the Allen County-Scottsville community with added resources, administrative expertise, and coaching talent embodies the essence of what SKY Soccer represents. Through this collaboration, we eagerly anticipate the opportunities ahead for both organizations and the shared achievements that lie in our future."

Ernie Stafford, The Core of Scottsville’s Executive Director speaks about the alignment of the partnership. "Our mission is to help everyone achieve their God-Given potential through our Core values; Fitness, Family, and Fellowship. The Core is very happy to partner with Sky soccer due to their expertise in the game of soccer. We feel like this partnership will only help develop our youth and help grow our soccer program. With the uniting of both entities we feel like it will elevate the game of soccer in our community, where every partnership fuels passion and every player finds their home."

SKY Allen County-Scottsville will immediately see the impacts of the SKY Pre Academy (U4-U6) program, delivered in partnership with Mighty Kicks Southern Kentucky, a program that has grown from 260 to nearly 600 seasonal participants in Warren County in the last few years.

In the future, the U8-U14 Recreational program players will be offered new and exciting opportunities through game schedule integration, and special events with SKY programs in Logan, Simpson and Warren counties to experience different levels of competition, and meet up with players throughout the area for fun play dates.

Registration is open now, and will be closing on February 15th, 2025. The season will begin mid-March with practices and games hosted at Allen County Primary Center.

Leah Renfrow, Principal of Allen County Primary Center, states, "I am delighted to embark on this exciting partnership with SKY Soccer and The Core of Scottsville. This collaboration will provide our students with invaluable opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership, and a passion for the game, all while strengthening our community. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have on our young learners both on and off the field."
